Hey everyone!

We've been asked this question a lot of times: why is our name Candy and Cake if we serve food and other stuff? Well, today we want to share the story behind our name and our journey with all of you.

Back in October 2017, we embarked on this exciting venture at the Kankakee Farm's Market. Our dream at that time was simple: to sell delicious cupcakes and our unique cheesecake cups. We wanted to infuse all our products with a touch of sweetness from candy, which is why we named our business Candy and Cake. And let us tell you, we still do!

That day at the market, we experienced an overwhelming amount of success, and it inspired us to expand our horizons. In June 2018, we took a leap of faith and opened a new location, transforming our business into a full-service bakery. Along with our signature cupcakes and cheesecake cups, we added some cold sandwiches and refreshing smoothies to our menu.

From that point forward, our growth was steady and consistent. Every day, we worked hard to improve and bring our customers the best experience possible. Of course, like any journey, we faced our fair share of challenges. One of us even fell ill for almost a year, and then the pandemic hit us hard. But through it all, we persevered because we believe in God, and we believe in our business.

When we opened our new location, we were blessed with a fully equipped kitchen. This provided us with an incredible opportunity to expand our menu even further. We took a deep breath, embraced the challenge, and embarked on a new journey – introducing a food menu. Yes, you heard it right! We went from a home bakery to a full-fledged restaurant.

We understand that this concept might be new to our area, but it's not uncommon in other parts of the world. Many bakeries and candy stores in the north serve food as well. We're excited to bring this new concept to our community and offer you a diverse range of delicious treats and satisfying meals.

Throughout our six-year journey, we've learned so much, and we're grateful for every moment. Our unwavering faith, along with the support of our wonderful customers, has been the driving force behind our success. We couldn't have come this far without all of you.

Wow! It's hard to believe that it has already been six years since we embarked on this incredible journey. Today, we stand in awe and gratitude as we look back at our humble beginnings, starting with just a table at the farmers market. We couldn't have come this far without God's grace and the unwavering support of each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The journey to this point wasn't an easy one. It required immense dedication, countless sleepless nights, and an unwavering belief in our vision. We poured our hearts and souls into every recipe, every cake, and every scoop of ice cream. We took risks, learned from our mistakes, and constantly strived for excellence.

Today, as we celebrate our achievements, we couldn't be prouder of what we have accomplished. It is an honor to serve our community and see the joy on your faces when you indulge in our creations. Your unwavering support and encouragement have been the driving force behind our success.

But our journey doesn't end here. We still have so much more in store for you!
